❹ Event Visual Concept - Brand, Creative Direction

To cut through the noise at the world’s biggest security conference (RSAC), I developed a creative concept for Detectify centered on nostalgia and authenticity. Moving away from clinical tech aesthetics, the strategy leveraged analog trust to build an emotional connection with the security community. The concept utilizes retro-inspired design elements to transform the brand presence into a special version that feels grounded, comfortable, and uniquely memorable in a high-tech environment.

Cultural references

The creative direction draws heavily on the 1995 film Hackers (Dir. Iain Softley) - a true cornerstone of underground retrofuturism that has achieved cult classic status within the hacking community. This project taps into the film’s vibrant, stylized portrayal of early hacker chic, celebrating the raw and rebellious roots of coding culture. This reference serves as a bridge between the authentic, analog spirit of the past and the high-stakes digital landscape of the future, grounding the brand in a legacy of creative problem-solving and technical curiosity.
