About

I conceive personal branding as a way of depicting myself as both a person and a professional. It is a process of creativity, but above all, introspection. This project was long, and it required a lot of thinking, sketching and even philosophical doubting.

Approach

The strategy has been built upon the answers of the questions Who am I? , What do I do? and What image do I want to transmit? The answer to this questions led to the definition of a concept.

Who am I? What do I do?

I am an avid communicator and designer with an entrepreneurial background. I appreciate and enjoy traditional media, despite of the fact I focus my work on new media. Design could be considered my latest skill in the making, yet the core of my studies and career in this moment. My previous work is mainly focused on communication (PR & journalism). I consider myself a dedicated, proactive and responsible person that thrives in challenging environments.

The concept

Jorge Vicente is a brand with a wide background in the field of communication & entrepreneurship. The start of a new professional era that connects with the roots of traditional media, but also looks at the future and keeps learning everyday. Simplicity and minimalism are two important values that I’ve tried to represent in the brand. Some key ideas: less is more, Jorge is JRG, optimization, fluency and easygoing.

This project has been challenging in several dimensions, but it was necessary to understand and reflect about my purpose, core, values, target and scope. It goes beyond visual identity, this is an identity definition. It is the kick-off of a new professional era.
