So, this wasn’t a theatre. It rather felt like I had just entered a chapel where a sermon or a homily was about to be given. I guess it was. In a certain way. F-A-B, you see, is a master of ceremony that conjures a ritual of cultural echoes in delightfully absurd sketches about sex. The energy is unmatched. Heavy, and admirably contagious. Like a dancing silhouette in a church stained glass.
The thing is, this wasn’t just a play either. It was a flirt.
F-A-B knows the art of teasing. The power of lingering. Painting with absence. Sometimes, what doesn’t happen is more powerful than what happens. It is a gift to treat your audience considerablyy and let them colour in the blanks with their own minds. So delicate. So delicious. How multi sensorial. The air thrummed with each sound - whether it being the unfolding peal of a banana or a techno rave on stage. The silences were powerful. Sometimes, or even to breath, felt like a sacred spell. F-A-B whispers and screams truths about sex. Sometimes a shout. Sometimes an arousing feather-light touch. Always leaving you delightfully undone…
